....until the baby girl makes her appearance. (And she WILL come on or before her due date! ha- like I can guarantee that!) We are so excited to welcome her into our family. The idea of pink and ponytails and dolls and all things girl is not so weird anymore and I am happy to embrace those things - to a point. You'd think because I am a girl those things wouldn't be odd at all, but it's the "I'm used to balls and trucks and burps and all things boy" around here. Nevertheless, we know she is a prophetic signpost in our lives, in this season, and we are happy to have her :)
And how unreal is it that this cutie will be 2 YEARS OLD on Wednesday?
I love everything about him! But I will try and post something on his special day. We don't plan on a kidfest of a party, but just our family.
Both Dan and I have decided we'd rather keep it simple with our kids as the standard, and if they get a big party with friends on occasion, that's fine. We'd rather set the bar at a manageable level and then raise it once in a while.
We will have friends over for Caleb's birthday this year though (pending our move to CA) because it's his golden birthday. 4yrs old on the 4th of September (why do we celebrate this as golden anyway?) So bring on the decorations and the loud kids and the food. But until then, simple.
